Finding a Framer

Framing a photograph adds an extra dimension. This is best done by a professional who can help you select the right frame made of materials that fit the photograph and if required a matching mat or combination of mats.

Unless you have a very tight budget it is best to find a framer who can offer you custom framing and profesional advice. It is an investment that is worth every penny. If the framer is not able to create his/her own frames and do hand-bevel cuts of mats try looking a little more.

Try the internet, the good old yellow pages, ask a gallery or museum where they get their framing done or check with friends whose frames you admire. You are bound to find a framer you will feel comfortable with. It is a little bit like finding the right person to cut your hair; a very personal decision you will have to feel OK with.
